As I grow older, I’ve become more cognizant about my surroundings, people, health, and over all well being.

For me, my number one issue is my health. I’m trying my very best to make better choices in the food I eat. But, in the area of exercise, I struggle. I know how important it is, but it’s difficult getting started. In my mind, I think about it and get excited about the results, but I haven’t done anything to progress ahead.

Have you ever been here? The whole truth is,
if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you!

The Bible tells of this story…

6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?”

7 The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.” John 5:6-7 (ESV)

How long have we been stuck in a condition, afraid to move or take a step. Many times
We’ve conditioned ourselves to believe it’s too hard or there are too many people ahead of me or there are too many obstacles in my way. Excuse after excuse! I can’t do it because, because …Weve seen others progress and go forth, nonetheless, it does not incite change.

I believe the truth of my dilemma lies beneath the surface. In being honest with myself…
I’m prone to procrastinate; I can be a little lazy; and, I admit the very thought of success frightens me. One thing for certain is this, once we confess and face the whole truth about ourselves, we can be healed.

To be successful and overcome in life, we must rid ourselves of all excuses. We must move past all negative influences, habits and feelings

Jesus asked the invalid, do you want to be made whole? My Sister’s, I’ve admitted my truth. Now it’s time for us to stop with the excuses; time for us to walk out the next phase of our journey to wholeness.

Lord, help us to be truthful with you and ourselves. May we surrender all to you.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Phil 1:6
